Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-semester, part-time role offers the opportunity to support K-12 students in a specialized educational setting focused on profound autism as well as general special education needs. The position is based primarily in Ludlow, MA, with a possibility to expand hours and contribute to an Extended School Year (ESY) program contingent on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services primarily within a profound autism program.
- Conduct AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) evaluations and implement AAC interventions.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support general special education students.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation of student progress and services.
- Engage in person-centered therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to licensure and educational standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Full Massachusetts licensure in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Extensive experience with AAC evaluations and intervention strategies.
- Ability to work in person exclusively; on-site presence required.
- Previous experience in school-based settings serving K-12 students, with a focus on autism, preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators.
Location:
- Primary worksite in Ludlow, MA.
- Clients main office situated in West Springfield, MA.
- Services provided primarily on-site; remote work is not an option for this position.
Employment Details:
- Contract position spanning from February 2, 2026, through June 23, 2026.
- Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with potential to increase to full-time.
- Possibility to extend services into ESY based on performance during the school year.
